It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that the Nigeria Association of the Blind, Lagos State Chapter, announces the passing of our beloved volunteer and brother, Mr. Obi Anthony Imoleayo, who transitioned on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
A legacy of selfless service
For more than ten years, Mr. Anthony was more than just a volunteer; he was an unwavering pillar of our community. He did not just give his time. He gave his heart.
Whether through tireless advocacy, his energy in our projects, or his deep commitment to our mission, he moved us forward with rare grace.
A life that lived up to its name
True to his name, Imoleayo, Anthony brought light and joy wherever he went. He showed up before events started and left long after they ended.
Whether it was guiding members safely, mobilizing support on White Cane Day, or simply offering a word of encouragement, his presence made us stronger.
Mr. Anthony had a rare gift: he saw people, not conditions. He treated every member with dignity and warmth. We will forever cherish:
- His infectious smile that could brighten the darkest room.
- His wise counsel which guided us through many challenges.
- His unwavering optimism that reminded us of what is possible when you lead with love.
Our promise
Though his physical presence is gone, the indelible mark he left on this Association will never fade. We honor his memory by continuing the work he loved so dearly.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Mr. Anthony. You served well, and you will be deeply missed.
