At the Nigeria Association of the Blind, Lagos Chapter, we believe that partnerships change lives. Today, we celebrate a partner whose generosity is directly transforming the lives of our members.
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) is a global professional services network that provides audit, tax, and advisory services. In Nigeria, PWC is also committed to community impact through charitable and empowerment initiatives that support vulnerable groups.
Through the Welfare and Empowerment Committee, NAB Lagos is committed to ensuring that blind and partially sighted persons live with dignity, independence, and financial stability. Thanks to the charitable donation from PWC, that commitment is becoming a reality.
PWC’s generous support made it possible for the Association to provide financial grants to 13 beneficiaries drawn from the three senatorial districts in Lagos: Lagos East, Lagos Central, and Lagos West.
On Monday, 27 July 2026, the presentation of empowerment cheques was held at the NAB office. These funds are already helping our members start and grow sustainable businesses in areas such as:
- Baking and confectionery
- Catering and fashion
- Manufacturing and production
- Sales of fish and crayfish
- Men’s clothing
- Body fragrance
- Production of multipurpose liquid wash
- Home essentials
- Groundnut production
- Sales of pap
- Production of insecticides
This support is doing more than funding businesses. It is reducing dependence, building self-reliance, and giving our members the tools to contribute meaningfully to their families and communities.
Beyond business support, the welfare of our members remains our top priority. From healthcare to educational assistance and emergency relief, we continue to stand with our people.
PWC’s donation has strengthened our ability to deliver on this mandate, and for that, we are profoundly grateful.
