Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is reviewed during design, development, and content publishing.

Features currently provided

  • Keyboard-accessible navigation and visible focus indicators.
  • A skip link that moves directly to the main content.
  • Semantic headings, landmarks, links, lists, and article content.
  • Light and dark themes with strong text contrast.
  • Responsive layouts that reflow on small screens and at zoom.
  • Reduced motion when requested through device preferences.
  • Alternative text requirements for published news images.

Known limitations

Third-party services used for GitHub-based news editing and Cloudflare media management have their own accessibility support. They are administrative tools and are not required to read the public website.
